Meet John Evans: Candidate for West Lakeland Town Board
Hello, neighbors!
My name is John Evans, and I have been a proud resident of West Lakeland since 1990. I am excited to announce that I am launching my campaign for the West Lakeland Town Board. My commitment to our community is strong, and I am eager to serve and to ensure that all our voices are heard.
Why Vote for Me?
I have volunteered and served on the Building Committee for three years, gaining valuable experience and insight into the operations of our local government. I participated in evaluating and implementing audio/visual solutions to broadcast the monthly board meetings. Additionally, I researched best practices and technological options for document retention and access.
I am dedicated to West Lakeland Township. This is my home. I am committed and open to serving my township for more than one term to provide consistent and reliable leadership.
My decisions will always reflect the long-term best interests of our township, as I plan to remain a part of this community for many more years to come.
I look forward to meeting each of you. Please feel free to contact me. I want to hear what matters most to you!
- John

Background
Personal Life
Laurie and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary last summer. Since 1990, we have made our home in West Lakeland. Our four children were raised here and attended school in the Stillwater area district. Both Laurie and I retired in 2020. We now enjoy working on projects around the house, traveling, spending time with our four grandsons, and pursuing our hobbies.
My days are filled with various activities. I am an avid reader and an amateur enthusiast of DIY and home improvement projects. I especially enjoy spending time outdoors, whether walking, hiking, biking, kayaking, playing golf, or fishing.
